What is Espander?

Espander is a visual desktop manager for Espanso snippets. It gives you a friendly interface to create, edit, organize, import, export, and sync text expansions without manually editing YAML files.

Do I need Espanso?

Espander manages the snippet library and generates Espanso-compatible configuration. Espanso performs the actual text expansion, so install Espanso to expand triggers across your apps.

Where are my snippets stored?

Espander supports a local-first workflow. You can keep everything on your machine, sync through a GitHub repository, or import from a published Google Sheet. CSV and YAML export keep your data portable.

Is GitHub sync secure?

Espander supports GitHub authentication and stores tokens using the operating system’s credential manager whenever available. You control the repository and its visibility.

Which platforms are supported?

Espander provides native installers for macOS and Windows. Linux support is listed on the project roadmap.

Does it cost anything?
